Le Hi-Capa 5.2 R, fabriqué par WE, est une réplique semi-automatique entièrement métallique de l'un des pistolets les plus emblématiques au monde. Il a été conçu avec la mission explicite d'améliorer certaines caractéristiques essentielles des pistolets de la série 1911. Il fonctionne au gaz, pèse 1,1 kg, mesure 232 mm de long et dispose d'un chargeur de 31 cartouches. Le Hi-Capa 5.2 R utilise un canon intérieur de 122 mm de long et génère environ 335 FPS.
Les améliorations significatives comprennent un levier de sécurité ambidextre, une sécurité de poignée, un viseur à haute visibilité, un chargeur de grande capacité et un filetage dans le canon. Il est également équipé d'un rail Picatinny pour les lampes de poche tactiques et les désignateurs laser. L'arme de poing est munie d'écailles avec une texture dentelée antidérapante sur les surfaces de la poignée.
La construction solide et de haute qualité de la réplique contient des éléments (la carcasse et la glissière) principalement en métal. D'autre part, les panneaux de la poignée et d'autres composants sont moulés par injection à partir de polymères. A l'intérieur, WE a fourni des pièces de qualité qui garantissent une utilisation de longue durée et la précision de chaque tir.
Le Hi-Capa 5.2 R est doté d'une glissière mobile et d'un système robuste de recul à gaz (GBB) qui imite le recul et l'action de la glissière pendant le tir. Il offre une expérience exceptionnelle et réaliste à l'utilisateur, comme s'il s'agissait d'un pistolet authentique. En outre, l'arme de poing est dotée d'un mécanisme d'augmentation réglable pour améliorer la précision et la stabilité de la balle pendant le tir.
